Yoga Teachers

Kathy Grace
In 1992 Kathy was introduced to yoga while studying to be a Naturopath by her flat mate and immediately loved it. Having a background in dance it struck a chord deep within.  During this first class Kathy had the thought that she will be teaching yoga one day. Many years later this goal was achieved.

During the years of personal practice Kathy tried many different styles of yoga including Iyengar and Ashtanga.  Mardi Bell from Yoga Ways in Terrigal was a major inspiration and influence and her teaching style still inspires Kathy’s classes.

In 2003 Kathy completed training with the IYTA and begun teaching, currently a member of the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia. Since this time Kathy has continued her studies with many different teacher trainings, with a major focus on Prenatal Yoga and is also completing studies as a Doula (Birth Support Person).

Kathy is the owner of Gracefully Fit & Healthy and Conception Health and her desire when creating this centre was to offer many different types of classes for many different people. This is why the timetable is varied and will continue to grow.

Rachael Rogan
Rachael was drawn to Yoga at the early age of 11 and practiced for some years which lead to teaching in 2007.
A qualified teacher having gained certification from Qi yoga in Manly, and is a member of the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia. Rachael also holds a Certificate 111 in Fitness.

Her earlier career in the corporate sector as a web consultant gave her insight into the pressures and challenges that most are faced with on a day-to-day level and how practicing yoga is self-sustaining.

For general, senior and prenatal classes Rachael shares a dynamic & nurturing Yoga class combining flowing yoga sequences.
The focus of each class is to inspire and guide her students with enthusiasm & a strong desire to see her students transform on all levels, mental harmony, physically increasing strength, coordination and balance, emotionally & spiritually with deep relaxation and breath work.

Rachaels simple, friendly and warm instructions and demonstrations in her childrens classes make it easy for children to learn simple movements, and to feel good about themselves as they become calmer and more energised. Rachael believes in letting the children guide the yoga class, collaboratively and learning together. “We’re not doing the teaching – we’re there learning alongside them.”
Rachael enjoys sharing her understanding of yoga with others, and looks forward to learning from all her students.

Krystle Alves

Krystle is a Samadhi certified teacher. As a qualified naturopath Krystle began exploring yoga as a healing modality. Through her own practice it became obvious to her that establishing a regular yoga practice not only built strength and openness in the body but also established a sense of calm and clarity of the mind, ultimately bringing about a greater sense of wellbeing. Her classes are a free-flowing hatha vinyasa style incorporating breath, meditation, and postures. She continues to evolve her own practice and teaching by attending workshops and intensives

Megan Crossfield

Megan’s journey into yoga began during her years at university as a dancer looking for more peace of mind and harmony in her body. She practised casually until 2008 when she did her first Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Jane Foody in the USA. This experience with yoga changed Megan forever. There was a beautiful breakthrough of connection within her mind, body, and soul, and she knew in that moment that yoga was something she wanted to share with as many people as she could. After relocating to Sydney, she continued her training completing her Level 1 course with Nicole Goodwin from bodymindlife yoga, and her Level 2 in India with John Ogilvie from Byron Yoga Center.

Megan believes that yoga can be used as a tool for immense healing and internal connection; finding your true self. This is the experience that she has had and feels privileged to share with others, continuing to learn along the way. As Lao Tzu says, “If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself….Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.”
